About Printer Updates

Printer Updates is a free library of printer drivers and plain-English installation help. Our goal is simple: when your printer stops working and you need the right driver, you should find it in under a minute.

What You’ll Find Here

  • Drivers for printers from HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, Samsung, Dell, Lexmark, Xerox, Kyocera, OKI, Ricoh, Sharp, Konica Minolta, Panasonic, and other major brands.
  • Compatibility notes for Windows 11, Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1, Windows 7 macOS (Sequoia through Big Sur), and the main Linux distributions.
  • Step-by-step installation guides for each operating system.
  • Troubleshooting notes for the most common problems — offline printers, spooler errors, scanning not working, driver conflicts after a Windows update.

How We Source Drivers

We do not host driver files on our own servers. Every download link on this site points to the original file published by the printer’s manufacturer — HP, Canon, Epson and the rest. You get the same installer you would get by searching the manufacturer’s website yourself, without having to work through the search, the regional selectors, and the pop-ups.

If a manufacturer removes a driver or changes a URL, we update the page. If a reader reports a broken link, we usually fix it the same day.

What This Site Is Not

  • We are not a manufacturer, reseller, or authorized partner of HP, Canon, Epson, Brother, or any other brand mentioned here.
  • We do not sell printers, ink, toner, or paid support.
  • We do not modify driver files or bundle them with additional software.
  • We do not collect your personal details to let you download a driver.

All brand names and product names on this site belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only. See our Disclaimer for the full statement.

How the Site Is Funded

Printer Updates is supported by display advertising (primarily Google AdSense). Ads never influence which drivers we list, how we describe them, or which brands appear on the site. If you prefer to browse without personalised ads, you can decline them in the cookie banner at any time — see our Cookie Policy.
